(Person's dignity)*
(A person's dignity*
In the hunting era, when angry, they threw stones,
In ancient Roman times
When he was extremely angry, he took up a sword,
During the American Old West frontier era
But he drew the gun
Nowadays, when angry, they throw verbal bombs.
Harsh remarks that insult one’s character
There is a person who does it all.
Even if his thinking is correct, if the language he uses has gone off course, it is clearly dereliction of duty.
Among Spanish proverbs
"An arrow pierces the heart,
There is a saying, “Heartless words pierce the soul.”
An arrow wounds the body, but
Harsh words leave wounds in the soul.
At the beginning of the Buddhist Thousand-Hand Sutra
The “Pure Dharma Work Mantra” is recited.
It is a spell to wash away the karma built by the mouth.
Among them, four are
It is a message of repentance for the sins committed through lies, the sins committed through fabricated words, the sins committed through sowing discord, and the sins committed through evil speech.

The chant asking for it to be fulfilled is “Surisuri mahasuri susuri sabaha.”
There is a fable about the tongue in the Talmud.
One day the king called two clowns.
He told one clown, “Bring the worst of the world,” and commanded another clown, “Bring the best of the world.”
The two clowns wandered all around the world A few years later, it appeared before the king and presented what had come.
Coincidentally, what the two people presented was a “tongue.”
It is easy to think that once words leave the mouth, they vanish into thin air, but that is not the case.
A horse’s true life begins then.
If writing is the language used on paper
Speech is a language used in the void.
Words written in the void cannot be erased or torn apart.
Once said
It reproduces by riding the air through its own vitality.
Speech is the standard by which a person’s dignity is measured.
The character for “quality” (品) in dignity is
It is a character made up of three “mouth” (口) radicals.
Talking your mouth well is
It is said to be a measure of a person's dignity.
In the Analects, controlling one’s speech was listed as one of the virtues of a gentleman.
When I look at the ruler of a noble man,
Under “Yun (尹) to rule,” there is “mouth (口).”
It means that a noble person controls their mouth.
If you keep your tongue in check, you become a gentleman, but,
If you tease me wrongly, I will fall into becoming a petty person.
Confucius said, “If you do not speak to the person you should speak with, you lose them.”
He also said, “If you say it to someone you should not speak to, you will be left speechless.”
The famous British writer George Orwell
"Thoughts corrupt language, but
Language also corrupts thought, it was said.
If you often say bad things, your thoughts become polluted
I have no choice but to live in that house.
If you don’t speak when you
should, you’ll regret it once in a hundred times, but,
If you speak when you should not, you will regret it 99 times out of a hundred.
When words leave the mouth, the weight of responsibility waits,
The more kind words you say, the better, but if you act all high and mighty, the other person will dislike it
Bluffing is fooled once, not twice.
Therefore, a person’s dignity cannot be established by having only a mind.
It must be put into practice.
Don’t say things you can’t say in front, and remember that a low voice is more powerful than an excited one
Don't forget!!)

(People gather around humble people ♣
There is an old saying, “교긍허부 (驕矜虛浮).”
It is a term for a proud, arrogant person who only puts on a show of arrogance and has no substance.
The higher a person rises in rank, the more they are tempted to reveal themselves.
However, the truly great know how to humble themselves and put others first in consideration.
During the Korean War, an elderly scholar who had fled from Seoul was appointed as the acting principal of a high school.
He was a distinguished Ph.D. in science in South Korea as well, but he never paid any attention to his everyday attire.
One day, the students on cleaning duty asked an elderly man, dressed shabbily, to go outside, saying they would clean the principal’s office.
The students had no idea at all that he was the principal.
The old scholar left the principal’s office with a silent smile.
A few days later, the students who learned that he was the principal of the school were said to be unable to hold their heads up.
At that time, a Doctor of Science in South Korea was a rare and precious status, one that could be counted on one hand.
However, He was someone who, rather than relying on his own knowledge and status, knew how to respect people first.
There is another story.
Dr. Kim Ho-gil, who later became the first president of Pohang University of Science and Technology, visited his aunt’s house in Andong during a school vacation when he was attending Seoul National University.
The uncle, seeing him carrying the Seoul National University badge, quietly said.
In this village, there are many children who want to study, but their circumstances are so difficult that they cannot even attend school.
Yes, the badge may be something you can be proud of, but it could also be a deep wound to someone
Those words stayed deeply in Dr. Kim’s heart.
After that, he lived his entire life not by flaunting his own academic background or status, but by first understanding the hearts of those who were in greater need than himself.
The same was true for GS Group Chairman Huh Chang-soo as well.
Even when he visited the ski resort he operated, he did not disclose that he was the chairman, and quietly enjoyed skiing just like any ordinary visitor.
A person who is respected without revealing themselves is truly a person of dignity.
On the contrary, we often see small disputes surrounding the introduction of guests at an event venue.
There are also quite a few cases where people feel hurt because they were not introduced, and are displeased because they are not happy with their turn.
Everyone wants to be recognized.
However, even if you forcibly reveal yourself, you cannot earn people's respect.
True respect does not come from a title, but from the life one has lived.
People who usually cherish others, understand them first, and treat them sincerely remain in people’s memories for a long time even without them having to introduce themselves.
A successful person thinks of those who have not yet had an opportunity,
The elected person, understanding the feelings of the defeated,
When people who have a lot of things look out for those who lack them first, society becomes warmer.
Honor and status are not a source of elevating a person, but a place that reminds us of our responsibility to humble them further.
Mencius left these words.
“A boastful voice and a flushed expression can
drive people away even from a thousand miles away.”
It is truly a profound teaching.
People are not respected because they have stayed in high positions for a long time, but because, even while in high office, they have not lost their humble hearts.
Humility is not about lowering oneself, but a heart that elevates others.
If we can live our lives with a little more humility and think of others’ feelings first, more people will stay by our side.
In the end, a person’s dignity is determined not by how high they have risen, but by how humbly they treated others.
Humility is not a virtue that diminishes a person, but the most beautiful force that makes a person even greater.)

(Why is the most precious thing free?
Everyone comes into this world empty-handed.
No one paid a price to be born. One day, it suddenly arrived in the world with a cry, and began living by learning to breathe in someone’s arms. At the beginning of humanity, there are neither a contract nor an invoice. Because life, from the very beginning, was never something to be traded.
As we live, we buy and sell countless things with money. Most things, from food and homes to cars and clothes, and even knowledge and technology, have price tags attached to them. People often value things that are expensive more highly, and consider things that are worthless as insignificant. However, if you look just a little deeper, you will discover one astonishing fact. The fact is that most of the most essential and indispensable things for human life are free.
Sunlight shines on everyone without discrimination.
Air does not distinguish the lungs of the rich from those of the poor. Water flows to save life. And the deepest values of human existence—love, comfort, laughter, tears, hope—cannot be bought with money either.
When you think about it, it is truly a mysterious matter.
What would have happened if humans had to pay money every moment to breathe?
Anyone who had not money, even for a day, would not have been able to sustain life. If sunlight had been granted only to certain people, the world would have been filled with despair long ago. However, nature has never once sent a bill to humans. The sun rises silently, the wind blows unconditionally, and the river flows without pause.
Why are the most important things free?
Perhaps the reason is that life itself may have been founded on “grace” rather than on “ownership.”
Humans have never created their own existence. We are beings who, within the vast order of the universe, have been briefly gifted with life. Therefore, the most fundamental elements of life were not objects of competition and monopoly, but were given as a common gift that all beings should enjoy together.
Nature is constantly speaking to humans.
"The most necessary thing for living is to exist by sharing.” Sunlight cannot occupy only one person. You cannot grasp the air. Water saves life when it flows. Love also begins to go mad the moment it becomes possessive.
People often believe that the more money they have, the safer and happier they will be. Of course, money is an essential tool in life. Poverty wears people down, and the weight of reality is never light.
Paradoxically, the things that best revive the human soul to its deepest level lie beyond the realm of money.
A warm word someone says on a winter day, a hand patting your back in despair, laughter with an old friend, and a sunset shared with the one you love—these cannot be measured in price.
People often realize too late.
I have spent my whole life running to obtain something expensive, only to realize that what kept me alive was always by my side.
A ray of morning sunlight.
A glass of water that quenches thirst.
A breath you can breathe freely.
And a heart capable of loving someone.
It is only when humans are on the verge of losing sight of the fact that these simple things were actually miracles that they finally realize it.
The person lying by the hospital room window knows.
Anyone who has ever felt breathless knows how great a blessing it is to walk freely. How wonderful a gift a day is when we breathe simply and normally!
Humans easily forget the value of things they are too familiar with. Because it is taken for granted simply because it is free. However, being free does not mean that it has no value. Perhaps it is so precious that it may have been given to just anyone.
Think about a mother’s love! Does the child pay and receive love? No. A mother embraces without calculating the reason. Nature, too, embraces humans like a great mother. Within it, humans breathe, grow, and live. In fact, we are living within a huge gift.
And so is wisdom as well. The most important realizations necessary for human life come from places that are surprisingly very simple.
In the stillness of a dawn walk, in the silence of a single tree, in the reflection that follows failure, in the sight of aging parents, and in the clear laughter of a child, humans learn the essence of life. True wisdom is not confined to the expensive lecture room. Nature, time, and experience are always quietly offering lessons to humans. The problem is that humans are so busy that they cannot hear that voice.
The world constantly tells us to have more. They urge you to succeed faster and climb higher. However, in the final moments of life, what humans usually want to hold on to are usually very simple things. Faces of people I loved, memories of laughing together, warm dinners, and the air of an ordinary day.
In the end, humans realize it before death.
The essence of life was not in “how much one had,” but in “how deeply one lived,” and perhaps the reason the most essential things are free is that they may help humans not lose their sense of direction in life.
If even the very essence of life could have been obtained only through money, the world would have crumbled into endless
greed and despair. But nature silently teaches by allowing for free what is most important to humans.
"You are not someone who lives alone!"
"Life is a gift before competition!"
"Happiness is closer to being than to possessing it!"
Humans sometimes mistake themselves for the masters of the world. But in the vast cosmic flow of time, humans are merely travelers who pause for a moment before moving on. We borrow the sunlight for a moment, breathe in the air for a moment, cast a shadow on the water for a moment, and then return to nature again.
Therefore, while we are still alive, we should be a little more grateful. We should be grateful that we can open our eyes in the morning, grateful that we can breathe, and grateful that we can love someone. Gratitude is the deepest wisdom that enriches life. A grateful person is someone who already has a lot.
The most precious thing in the world is not easily seen by the eye. Transparent as air, quiet as sunlight, and flowing low as water.
So humans often forget it.
However, what truly supports human existence is precisely that invisible)

(Let’s live our old age beautifully— from a good piece of writing
One day, I suddenly find myself spending my old age,
His hair was half-white and graying
The body does not move as one thinks
The son, who had grown much taller than himself, went to work
Before I knew it, the daughters had gotten married and become mothers,
The children who seemed like they would be together forever
One by one, they leave our embrace
The couple who had vowed to live together for a hundred years
As we live through many years, inevitably growing old
They spend their old age looking at each other,
Don’t rely too much on your family,
That doesn’t mean you should ignore the importance of family,
As long as I can move, someone other than me
Never rely on someone,
No one can take your old age for you,
Develop what you have yourself and take care of yourself,
If you truly want to spend your old age without regrets
Be sure to have one or two hobbies,
If you like mountains, climb one and try ruling the world once
If the water is good, sit by the riverbank and fish,
If exercise is good, do any kind of exercise until you sweat
If you love books, read them diligently, write,
If you like the internet
Swim joyfully through the sea of information,
Because of a favorite hobby, at least one meal
Enjoy it with enough focus to be fine even if you get filtered out,
Make that path meaningful for your lonely old age
It’s an important secret that can be sent,
Don't expect too much from your children, from what you've received from them
Because wounds and feelings of betrayal are not easily healed,
There aren’t that many children who satisfy their parents,
The more expectant a child is, the more it pains the parents’ hearts,
Do not invade or interfere in your children's territory,
Children have their own way of living the lives they lead,
Moderate interest and reasonable expectations, without crossing the line
It will lead your old age on the path of peace and happiness,
The old saying, “A bad husband is better than a dutiful son,” is worth keeping in mind
Reclaim and rekindle the
fading love between spouses, and make it burning,
And at this age, layered more than love
Isn’t it living by washing each other’s backs with the affection we have built over time?
Still, keep your children close and don’t keep your relatives at a distance
If you truly have a companion with whom you can share your heart, your old age will be
It will be as beautiful as a watercolor painting on a canvas.)

Isn’t it living by washing each other’s backs with the affection we have built over time?
Still, keep your children close and don’t keep your relatives at a distance
If you truly have a companion with whom you can share your heart, your old age will be
It will be as beautiful as a watercolor painting on a canvas.)

(What is Abitus? It can be described as follows.
In old age, a person’s attitude toward life and dignity, rather than their appearance or wealth, become the factors that determine how people are perceived,
Some old man looks more handsome as time goes by,
The other old man, on the contrary, seems to be getting uglier.
Then where does the difference between the two categories come from?
It is not merely a matter of whether there is a lot or a little money
It is said that a wonderful old man possesses a unique dignity that naturally emanates from within.
The concept that explains this is called 'habitus.”
It is also a concept that includes habits, senses, ways of thinking, and so on that an individual has internalized through long experience.
In other words, it means that the cultural capital accumulated over a long period has become ingrained in the body and naturally comes to light.
For example, a person who has internalized steady reading and artistic appreciation naturally displays refined language and attitude, whereas,
People who spend each day meaninglessly without self-development become accustomed to rude speech and lowly behavior.
In old age, the habitus accumulated during youth becomes fully reflected in the words and actions people use in everyday life.
When you’re young, you can artificially dress yourself up with looks, status, or money, but as you grow older, a person’s true nature inevitably comes to light.
In the end, whether an old man becomes a wonderful old man and whether another becomes an ugly old man depends on what kind of life one has lived from a young age.
A wonderful old man has the following characteristics
First, there is dignity in speech and attitude.
A wonderful old man does not speak carelessly, and instead uses language that respects the other person, rather than using vulgar language or blaming others.
Second, it has an open attitude toward trying to understand the differences between generations.
Comments like “Young people these days have no manners” or “Back in my day” only wear the listener down.
If you show a closed attitude toward the world, you will inevitably be left behind.
In everyday terms, it means becoming the kind of old person that young people dislike the most—the “kkondae” elder.
Third, always keep your appearance neat and tidy
The idea that simply becoming an old person means you don’t have to dress or take care of your body in any particular way is an illusion.
A neat and tidy appearance, along with a composed posture, leaves a good impression on others regardless of age.
Fourth, there is a passion for learning.
Always maintaining intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential qualities of a wonderful old man.
An elderly person who learns new skills, reads books, and interacts with young people can always maintain a youthful sense of mind.
Fifth, being positive and having a sense of humor
As time passes, everyone’s body weakens, and they may find themselves in unexpected situations. However, a person’s character depends on how they receive it.
Instead of complaining and getting annoyed, the wonderful old man embraces the situation with humor and a positive attitude, brightening those around him.
In conclusion, in order to become a wonderful old man, you should not try to change your attitude
overnight.
Because it stems from long-standing habits and changes within.
It will be necessary to make an effort to always encounter good books and culture, engage in intellectual conversations, appreciate good music and art to cultivate the senses, and maintain a healthy body through appropriate exercise.
In the end, the difference between a wonderful old man and an ugly old man stems from the “abitus” formed from one’s youth.
The small habits of each day ultimately shape what one’s later years will look like.
A wonderful old man is not created by chance; rather, it is the result of one’s attitude toward life.)

Even if it is only a small item I have
something that can be happily shared and used together
That's the kind of person.
What is a “friend (親舊)”?
Something I cannot tell others
Even a single secret
Openly and with a clear heart
A place where you can open up and share your true feelings
It's a person.
What a genuine friend (old friend) is
What kind of relationship, and
What kind of relationship should it be
Even if we talk until dawn
I won’t be able to do it
This kind of friend (old friend)
If even one person is beside you
Truly wonderful and excellent
You are living your life.!)

(by the time of one's 80th birthday
When people turn 80 years old, they keep asking them to look back.
"It's time for you to rest."
"Don't overdo it."
"Just take care of your health."
Thank you for the words. But if you think about it, it's a little unfair. If someone who has dragged his life this far tells him to only "take a rest" now, that's not polite to the 80th. The 80th is not the closing time of life, but rather when old alcohol begins to taste good.
When I was young, I only looked forward. You have to make money, raise children, build a family, meet people, and one day was war. At that time, I didn't live my life, but I felt like life drove me. But as I approach my 80th birthday, I feel a little brighter. Now I see the world. I see people, I see money, I see greed, and above all, I see myself.
In the past, in "When Buckwheat Flowers Bloom", there is a scene in which a buckwheat flower is blooming as if it were sprinkled with salt after passing through Bongpyeongjang at night. When I read it in my younger days, I thought only that the sentence was multiplied. But when I got older and thought about it again, the scene is not a story of flowers, but a story of life. Flowers are also blooming for those who go on the night path. Young people are not the only ones who have flowery paths. Buckwheat flowers bloom brightly at the feet of the old flounder, both late at night and long distances.
Therefore, flowers bloom even by the time they turn 80. However, the shape of the flower has only changed. If the flower of a young day was love and ambition, the flower of the 80th year is appreciation and relaxation. If the flower of a young day was a flower to show others, the flower of the 80th year is a flower that I can quietly look at and smile.
However, one should not just sit there and be thankful. There are things to do in the 80-year-old's life, too. One must first move one's body. It is a waste of time to sit at home watching television and playing games with senior citizens at senior citizen centers. One can go outside with a golf club, one can grab a tennis racket, or one should walk steadily. When one's body moves, one's mind moves. If one's mind moves, one's life is still in progress.
The reason why the 80th birthday is scary is not because of age. It is scary because it stops. People get old the moment they stop. The age of thoughts, not the age of the calendar, is the problem. The moment you say, "I'm done," it really ends. However, if you say, "Let's learn one more thing, let's teach one more thing, let's walk one more day," 80-year-old is also a different name for youth.
In the 80s, you have a lot to say. But you shouldn't nag. Young people don't like nagging. But they hear stories that come from experience. When you start with "When I was young, I closed my ears, but when you say "I've lived my life, I was careful about this," you open your heart. So, 80-year-old adults should lower their voices and increase their depth. A word that someone who has lived a lot doesn't have to be long. One word is heavy.
In addition, at the 80th, you should reduce your anger. Let's say that you were angry when you were young because you were fighting against the world. However, if you get angry every day even at the 80th, it is not because of the world, but because of habit. Now you have to have a smile on your face. When an adult laughs, the family becomes comfortable, the village becomes comfortable, and young people come to you. The biggest authority of the 80th birthday is not yelling, but generosity.
The same goes for money. By the time you are 80, you will be somewhat aware of the identity of money. If you don't have money, it's uncomfortable, but a lot doesn't necessarily mean you're happy. If you lived to make money when you were young, you should live to spend money well when you are 80. Buying a meal, buying a book to a junior, adding a little to good things, giving pocket money to a grandson and laughing are some of the biggest fun things in life. Money that you can grab is just paper, but money that you let slip remains in people's hearts.
By the age of 80, friends become precious again. When one is young, one thinks having more friends is good. But as one gets older, having a few real friends is enough. You don't have to meet them and talk much. All one has to do is say, "Did you eat?" and "Are your legs okay these days?" I like that the friendship between the 80s is not grand. Just confirming that they are alive gives comfort to each other.
And above all, we must be grateful for our 80th birthday. It is a miracle that we have come this far. There must have been a crisis of falling, a boiling point, and a lot of unfairness. But it all passed. As I passed by, I had something to resent, but I also had something to learn. Some people hated me, but some people trained me. There were failures, but they deepened people. Looking back, the phrase "thank you" is not just a word. Only people who have lived for a long time can make this conclusion.
But you shouldn't just think about the age of quietly organizing your 80th birthday. The 80th birthday is an age when you decide to live like a human being until the end. You should wake up in the morning, stretch your body, smile at the person you are meeting today, say something nice to the young person, be interested in what's going on in the world, worry about your country, and add your heart to the village work. You should stand in the middle of the world with a broader mind, not just because you are old.
I want to live like this by the time I turn 80.
I don't hide because I'm old, I don't collapse because I'm old, and I want to spend the rest of my years without sparing. I want to move forward even if my body slows down a little, and my mind to live green even if my head turns white. Rather than arguing with young people, I want to push their backs, instill dreams rather than scare children, and tell the same old people, "We're not done yet."
Buckwheat blossoms look brighter at night. So does life. Things that were not visible in the young daylight can be seen more clearly in the evening light of the 80th birthday. Now I have a little idea of what is precious, who to love, what to put down, and what to hold on to until the end.
So by the time I'm eighty, I want to speak quietly.
Life is not over yet.
Today, there is a road, moonlight, and buckwheat flowers bloom.
And I can still walk.
