(Survival of the fittest
What is “Gwisung” (noble life)?
If you cherish your life too much, you may actually put it at risk,
What is 'Seopsaeng'?
It teaches that if you bear your life in a moderately uncomfortable way, it can become even more beautiful.
A person who skillfully controls the cycle of life (Seopsaeng) does not enter the land of death (Igi Musaji) — this means that someone who masters the process of bringing about life (Seopsaeng) does not enter the land of death.
Laozi’s wisdom, which teaches that a moderate 'self-discipline' that causes some strain on the body leads to a healthy life, stands out even more today.
In other words, "Pursuing only comfortIf you do it, your body will break.I should remember it as "".
Could it be that most Joseon kings died young because they pursued only the pursuit of longevity rather than the practice of proper health maintenance?
The human body constantly strives for greed in order to live comfortably.
The eyes seek only beauty, the ears seek only pleasant sounds, the nose seeks only fragrant scents, the tongue seeks only soft and delicious tastes, and the body seeks only comfort; our minds also always desire only joy.
Therefore, the ancient sages called the six senses—the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, and mind—the “six thieves,” and said that by controlling them well, both body and mind would remain unharmed.
I must live healthily through self-discipline and moderation.
The facial features (ears, eyes, mouth, nose). No matter how enjoyable something is, it is said that living within limits, thinking positively, and following the natural order of things can make one healthier and more beautiful.
It is said that the moment you feel full while eating, you have already eaten 120% of your food.
Even the pigs we look down on as foolish reportedly don't eat more than 80% of their own weight.
In Laozi’s Tao Te Ching, the way for a person to live a long and healthy life is to “not look carelessly, not listen carelessly, not smell carelessly, not speak or eat carelessly, not touch carelessly, and not stomp
or walk carelessly.”
You must restrain and exercise self-control over your body and mind to live healthily.
The word "Today" is written on the calendar of a successful person, and the logo "Now" is stamped on their watch.
May your time be a wonderful one, calling out for today rather than tomorrow, and now rather than next~)
