채움보다 중요한 것은 비움이다.

유비에게 "제갈량"이 있었다면 칭기즈칸에겐 "야율초재"가 있었습니다.

출신 성분을 따지지 않고 오직 능력만 보고 인물을  썼던 칭기즈칸이
한낮 피정복민의 젊은 지식인에 불과했던 야율초재를 그토록 신임했던 이유는 천문, 지리, 수학, 불교, 도교 할 것 없이 당대 모든 학문을 두루 섭렵한 그의 탁월한 식견 때문이었습니다.

몸에 해로운 음식을 삼가는 것입니다.

사랑하는 사람이 원하는 것을 들어주기에 앞서
그 사람이 싫어하는 것을 하지 말아야 합니다.

행복을 원한다면 욕심을 채우기 보다 욕심을 제거하는 쪽이 현명한 선택입니다.

삶이 허전한 것은
무언가 채워지지 않았기 때문이 아니라,
여전히 비우지 않고 있기 때문입니다.
