길

‘길’이란
단어는 단어 자체만으로도 참 문학적이고
철학적이고 사유적입니다.
‘도로나
거리가 주는 어감과는 완전 다릅니다.

‘길’ 은 단순히
사람들이 밟고 지나 다니는 것만을
의미하지 않습니다.
“아무리
생각해 봐도 길이 없다” 거나
“내 갈 길을 가야겠다” 라는 표현에서
보듯 길은
삶에서의 방법이거나 인생 그 자체입니다.

영어 ‘way’도
‘street’ 와 달리 같은 중의적
의미를 갖습니다. 
서양사람들도
길에서
인생을 연상하는구나 싶어 신기합니다.

불교나
유교 도교..등
동양
사상에서의 공통적 이념도  '도(道)'"라고
부르는 길입니다.

우리는
평생 길 위에 삽니다.
누군가는
헤매고, 누군가는 잘못된 길로 가고,
누구는 한 길을 묵묵히 갑니다.

오르막 길이
있으면 반드시 내리막 길도 있고 탄탄
대로가 있으면 막다른 골목도 있는
인생사 그대로의 길입니다.

세상에 같은
길은  없습니다. 나만의 길만 있을 뿐입니다.

“Yes, it was my way”
(네 제 방식의 길)
이였고
“I did it my way”
(나는 내방식대로 사는 길)
였다고 했습니다.

미국인이
가장 사랑하는 시인 로버트 프로스트는 명시
‘가지 않은 길’에서 이렇게 술회했습니다.
“숲속에 두 갈래 길이 있었다. 
나는 사람들이 덜 다닌 길을 택했다.
그리고 그것이 나의 모든 것을 바꿔놓았다.”

길은 목적지에
가기 위해서도 존재하지만
떠나기
위해서도 존재합니다.
‘길을 간다’
라는 말보다 ‘길을 떠난다’ 는 말은 왠지
낭만적이거나 애잔하거나 결연합니다.

결국 우리는
길 위에서 길을 물으며 살아가는 갑니다.

그게
입신양명의 길이거나, 고행의
길이거나, 득도의 길이거나,
산티아고 길이거나, 바이칼 호수의
자작나무 숲길이거나,
동네 둘레길
이거나 말입니다

우리네
인생이 곧 길이요, 
우리의
발이 삶입니다. 
결국은
‘마이 웨이’를 가는 겁니다. 
오늘도 자신의
택한 길을 조용히 저벅저벅 길을
걸어가야겠습니다.

"Gil" is
The word itself is very literary
It's philosophical and thoughtful.
"Dorona"
It's completely different from the sense of distance.

"Road" is simply
Just the things that people walk on
It doesn't mean anything.
"No matter how much you do it
"There's no way to think about it"
"I have to go my own way"
As you can see, the road is
It's a way of life or life itself.

"way" in English, too
Unlike "Street", it's an intermediate enemy
It's meaningful. 
Westerners, too
In the street.
It's interesting to think that it's reminiscent of life.

Buddhism or
Confucian Taoism, etc
The East 
The common ideology of thought is "do"
It's the way to call.

We are
I live on the road for the rest of my life.
Someone
Wandering, someone going the wrong way,
Some people go down one road silently.

the uphill path
If there's one, it's always downhill and solid
If there's a street, there's a dead end
It's the same way in life.

like in the world
There is no way. There is only my own way.

Robert Frost, the most beloved poet of all time
We had a drinking session on "The Road I Didn't Go".
"There was a two-pronged road in the forest. 
I chose the path less people took.
And it changed everything about me."

The road is to the destination
There's a place to go
Let's go
It exists for the sake of it.
"I'm on my way."
Rather than saying that, "Leaving the Road" is
Romantic or sad or determined.

In the end, we
I live by asking for directions on the road.
