녹명(鹿鳴)'

녹명(鹿鳴)'이라는 책을 써서 세계적인 스터디 셀러의 작가로 유명해진 "리처드 도킨스"는 다음과 같이 말했습니다..
 
“남을 먼저 배려하고 보호하면 그 남이 결국 내가 된다.”

"서로를 지켜주고,
함께 협력하는 것은 내 몸 속의 유전자를 지키는 가장 좋은 방법이다"
 
약육강식에서 이긴 유전자만이
살아남는 것이 아니라, 상부상조 또는 상호부조한 '종'이 더 우수한 형태의 유전자로 살아 남는다는 것이 도킨스의 주장입니다.

이기심보다는 이타심, 즉 내가 잘 살기 위해서는 남을 도와야 하며 서로 돕는 것이 모두가 잘 살 수 있는 유일한 길이라는 논리입니다.

수많은 동물 중에서 사슴만이 먹이를 발견 하면 함께 먹자고 동료를 부르기 위해 아름다운 소리를 내어 부른다고 합니다.

세상에서 가장 아름다운 이 울음소리를 들어본 적이 있으신지요? 
 
여느 짐승들은 먹이를 발견하면 혼자 먹고 남는 것은 숨기기 급급한데 사슴은 울음소리를 높여 동료를 불러 모아서 함께 나눕니다.

시경에서는 사슴 무리가 평화롭게 울며 풀을 뜯는 풍경을 어진 신하들과 임금이 함께 어울리는 것에 비유합니다.
