355. 배추밭에서는 인삼도 잡초이다

내 마음 가짐에 따라
잡초로도 보이고 꽃으로도 보입니다.

관심을 가지지 않고 하찮게 보면
모든게 잡초로 보이지만
애정을 갖고 자세히 들여다보면
잡초도 꽃으로 보입니다.

사람도 그렇습니다.
세상 모두가 어떻게 보느냐에 따라
잡초도 되고 꽃도 됩니다.

순자(荀子)는 말하기를
“하늘은 복록이 없는 사람을 내지 아니하고,
땅은 쓸모 없는 초목을 기르지 아니 한다.”라고
하였습니다.

천불생무록지인(天不生無祿之人)
지부장무명지초(地不長無名之草) 

아무렇게나 피어있는 꽃이 없듯
마지못해 살아있는 꽃은 없습니다.

아무렇게나 태어난 인생이 없듯
마지못해 살아가는 인생도 없어야 합니다.

애당초 잡초란 없습니다.
단지 있어야 할 제자리를 가리지 못해
잡초가 되었을 뿐입니다.

주역 계사전에는
“방이유취(方以類聚) 물이군분(物以群分)”
이라 했습니다.

“삼라만상은 그 성질이 유사한 것끼리 모이고,
만물은 무리를 지어 나누어진다.”라는 말입니다.

이 천지자연의 질서에 순응하지 못하고
이탈한 것이 바로 잡초입니다.

밀밭에 보리가 나면 보리가 잡초이고
보리밭에 밀이 나면 밀이 잡초입니다.
상황에 따라 잡초가 되는 셈입니다.

제자리에 있지 않으면 꽃도 풀이나 다름 없습니다.
무밭에서는 산삼이 또한 잡초입니다.

사람도 마찬가지입니다.
자신이 꼭 필요한 자리나 있어야 할 곳에 있으면
산삼보다 귀하지만
있어야 할 곳이 아닌데도
눈치 없이 뭉개고 있으면 잡초가 되고 맙니다.

분별 없이 살면 잡초가 되고,
주책 없이 살아도 잡초가 되고,
자기가 자신을 몰라도 잡초가 되는 법입니다.

나는 지금 무밭의 인삼은 아닙니까?
인삼밭의 무는 아닙니까?

있어야 할 자리를 아는 것만큼
남아야 할 때와 떠나야 할 때를 분별할 줄 아는
지혜는 인생에 더없이 중요한 법입니다.

자리를 잘 살펴
잡초로 살지 말고 꽃으로 살아요

사람이든 식물이든
꼭 ! 필요한 자리에 있어야 합니다.
배추밭에서는 인삼도 잡초입니다.
