383. 팔십종수

팔십종수(八十種樹)◇

박목월 선생의 수필 
'씨 뿌리기'에 
늘 호주머니에
은행 열매나 호두를 넣고 다니면서 학교 빈터나 뒷산에 심는 노교수 이야기가 나옵니다. 

이유를 묻자 빈터에 
은행나무가 우거지면 
좋을 것 같아서라고 했다. 
언제 열매가 맺혀지는 것을 보겠느냐고 웃자 
"누가 따면 어떤가, 
다 사람들이 얻을 열매인데"
라고 대답했습니다.

여러 해 만에 
그 학교를 다시 찾았을 때 
키만큼 자란 은행나무와 제법 훤칠하게 자란 호두나무를 보았다.

"예순에는 나무를 심지않는다 
(六十不種樹)."고 말합니다. 
심어봤자 그 열매나 재목은
사는 동안에 못보겠기에 
하는 말입니다.
 
송유(宋兪)가 70세 
고희연(古稀宴) 을 했습니다. 
귤(柑) 열매 선물을 받고 
그 씨를 거두어서 심게 했습니다. 
사람들이 속으로 웃었습니다. 
하지만 그는 10년 뒤에 
귤 열매를 먹고도 10년을 
더 살다 세상을 떠났습니다.

황흠(黃欽)이 80세에 
관직에서 물러나서 
고향에 지낼 때에 
종을 시켜서 밤나무를 
심게 했습니다. 
이웃 사람들이 웃었습니다.
"연세가 여든이 넘으셨는데
 너무 늦은 것이 아닐까요?"
 황흠이 대답했습니다. 
"심심해서 그런 걸세. 
자손에게 남겨준대도 
나쁠 건 없지 않은가?" 
10년 뒤에도 황흠은 
건강했고, 그때 심은 
밤나무에 밤송이가 
달렸습니다. 
이웃을 불러서 말했습니다. 
"자네 이 밤 맛 좀 보게나. 
후손을 위해서 한 일이 
날 위한 것이 되어 버렸군."

홍언필(洪彦弼)의 아내는 
평양에 세 번을 갔습니다. 
어려서 평양감사였던 
아버지 송질을 따라갔고, 
두 번째는 남편을 따라 
갔으며, 세 번째는 아들 
홍섬을 따라갔습니다. 
아내로 처음 갔을 때에는 
장난삼아서 감영에 배를 
심었고, 두 번째 갔을 때에는 그 열매를 따 먹었습니다. 
세 번째 갔을 때에는 
재목으로 베어서 다리를 
만들어 놓고 돌아왔습니다.

세 이야기 모두 
'송천필담(松泉筆譚)'에 
나옵니다. 
"너무 늦은 때는 없습니다"
예순만 넘으면 노인 행세를 하며 공부도 놓고 일도 
안 하며 그럭저럭 살다가 
죽을 날만을 기다립니다.
100세 시대에 이런 
조로(早老)는 좀 너무하다.
 "씨를 뿌리면 나무는 
자란다" 
설사 내가 그 열매를 
못 딴들 어떠랴.

그렇습니다. 
너무 늦은 때란 없습니다. 
살아 있으면 나날이 
새날이니까요. 
오늘도 마음 설레이는 
새날입니다. 
무언가 먼 훗날 
가슴 뿌듯한 열매를 그리며 팔십종수하는 마음으로 의미 있는 날들이 되시기를~~^^

There is a story of Professor Noh planting ginkgo fruits or walnuts in the empty lot of school or in the back of the mountain. 

When I asked why, in an empty space

That's the answer.

I did Go Hee-yeon (Old 稀宴). 
I got a tangerine (柑) fruit as a gift 
I collected the seeds and let them plant them. 
People laughed inside. 
But 10 years later, he'll be 
Even after eating tangerine fruit for 10 years 
I lived more and passed away.

Hwang Heum (黃欽) is 80 
out of office 
in one's hometown 
I ordered a bell to make chestnut trees 
I planted it. 
The neighbors laughed.
"You're over eighty years old
 Isn't it too late?"
 Hwang Heum replied. 
"It's because I'm bored. 
Even if you leave it for your descendants 
It doesn't hurt, does it?" 
10 years later, Hwang Heum 
I was healthy, and at that time, Sim 
Chestnut trees have chestnuts 
It's on. 
I called my neighbor and said. 
"Let's have a taste of this night. 
What I did for my descendants 
It's become for me."

Hong Eonpil (洪彦弼)'s wife is 
I've been to Pyongyang three times. 
As a child, I was a Pyongyang auditor 
I followed my father, Songzil, 
The second is following my husband 
He's gone. The third is his son 
I followed Hongseom Island. 
When I first went to my wife 
I was joking, so I got a boat in Gamyeong 
I planted it, and the second time I went, I picked the fruit and ate it. 
On the third trip 
I cut my legs with lumber 
I made it and came back.

All three stories 
In "Songcheon Pildam (Song 泉筆譚)," 
It's coming out. 
"It's never too late"
He pretends to be an old man and studies and works when he's 60 years old 
I didn't do it and managed to live 
I just wait for the day I die.
In the age of 100 
Zoro (早老) is a bit too

much.
 "If you sow a seed, the tree will be 
"Growing up" 
Even if I'm going to eat the fruit 
What's wrong with those who can't do it.

That's right. 
It's never too late. 
As long as you're alive, day by day 
It's a new day. 
My heart is fluttering today as well 
It's a new day. 
in the distant future 
May these be meaningful days with a heart of 80 bells, drawing the proud fruit~^^)
